“Loving this Already” – Harmanpreet Kaur unveils Indian Test Jersey for England Tour

Indian batswoman Harmanpreet Kaur has shared a post featuring herself donning the Test jersey today ahead of the one-off Test series against England. The 32 year old right handed batswoman shared the picture in her Instagram handle with caption, “Loving this already.” The fans were more excited to see her sporting the jersey number 7 in the picture shared, as everyone knows it is the number donned by the Indian legend MS Dhoni.

The 32 year old Harmanpreet Kaur is the Indian skipper for the shortest format and had played in 104 ODI matches amassing 2528 runs with a personal best of 171* runs to her name. With respect to the shortest format she presently has 2186 runs which includes a century and six half centuries. It is noteworthy to state that she won the prestigious Arjuna Award in the year of 2017.

Indian women contingent prepares ahead of England Tour

The Indian Women in blue are set to compete in one-off Test, three ODI’s and three T20Is. The one-off test against England is scheduled to take place on June 16, 2021. Following this the ODI clash between the two nations is set to take place on June 27,2021 at Bristol, Taunton and Worchester. Later on July 9 the 3 match T20I series begins and are set to play in Northampton, Hove and Chelmsford. The Third T20I is rescheduled a date prior to the previously planned day due to Broadcasting issue. Previously the third T20I was set to take place on July 15,2021.

The Indian Women Cricketers are presently hitting the gyms, sweating off with high intense workouts to have themselves fit ahead of the multi format series against England beginning in the month of June. The BCCI official Twitter handle posted the video of Indian women cricketers working out in gym captioning,”Shut the noise we are India”.
