Jasprit Bumrah became the first Indian fast bowler to climb to the top of the ICC Test bowling rankings by replacing teammate Ravichandran Ashwin. Before him, the highest Test rankings by an Indian pacer was achieved by Kapil Dev when he became the World No.2. After the historic feat, Bumrah uploaded a cryptic post on Instagram.

He shared a photo of two stadiums. In one stadium, only one fan was sitting alone in the chair. The other stadium was filled with fervent fans.

The message for the empty stadium read, ‘THE SUPPORT VS, while for the other stadium, the message read, ‘ THE CONGRATULATIONS’. Through this, Bumrah might want to imply that not many people support a player before an achievement, but come up with all sorts of congratulatory messages afterward.

Notably, last year, Bumrah took to Instagram for a cryptic post, but it ended up confusing the fans because they couldn’t guess the meaning of it properly. Bumrah posted it after Hardik Pandya was traded back to Mumbai Indians (MI). Later, he was made the skipper. Some fans opined that Bumrah was sure he would succeed Rohit Sharma as MI skipper but Pandya spoiled everything.

Jasprit Bumrah was heavily slammed when he was dealing with injuries. Since 2022, Bumrah remained on the sidelines due to a back stress fracture, so fans on social media started criticizing him for prioritizing the Indian Premier League (IPL) over Indian matches. The 30-year-old then made his comeback in 2023, and since then he has been on a roll.
