WATCH: “Greatest Rivalry”- Sunil Gavaskar, VVS Laxman take part in a bowl out challenge with Shoaib Akhtar and Ramiz Raja

In terms of head-to-head in Asia Cup, the Men in Blue have a lead of eight wins of the 14 games played while Pakistan has won five matches.

Ahead of the much awaited match between cricket’s arch-rivals, India and Pakistan, in the Aisa Cup 2022 which will start from August 28 with the opening clash between these two neighbours, some legends took part in bowl out challenge on August 18.

In one of Star Sports’s show, Team Blue, consisted of Sunil Gavaskar and VVS Laxman took part in the bowl out challenge against Team Green’s Shoaib Akhtar and Ramiz Raja with the former ended up in winning the game.

During the entire challenge, these players didn’t miss the opportunity to pull each other’s legs. Watch their fun banter below:

Due to cold political relationship between these two neighbours, they don’t clash against each other in bilateral series, only meet during ICC tournaments and Asia Cup.

Asia Cup 2022 will be played in UAE and India will take on Pakistan on August 28. In terms of head-to-head in Asia Cup, the Men in Blue have a lead of eight wins of the 14 games played while Pakistan has won five matches.

India won’t have the services of its best pacers, Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammed Shami as the former has been ruled out of the tournament due to injury and Shami couldn’t save a place in the squad. But India captain Rohit Sharma has highlighted upon the fact about how India is trying to create a bench strength. Because as India is playing more cricket these days, several of them are getting injured so the team of Rohit and head coach Rahul Dravid are already preparing to not rely on on or two individuals.
