During the second ODI between Pakistan and New Zealand on Wednesday (January 11) in Karachi, umpire Mohammad Wasim Jr’s throw hit umpire Aleem Dar on his ankle.
The incident took place in the 36th over of the Kiwi’s innings. Glenn Phillips was batting, and he sent the ball off Haris Rauf toward the deep square leg. Wasim picked it up and aimed for the stumps. But instead, it hit Dar, who, a second later, was seen tossing his sweater on the ground after being hit. Pakistan speedster Naseem Shah could be seen massaging his ankle later.

That match was won by New Zealand by 79 runs to tie the three-match ODI series 1-1. Devon Conway was awarded the Player of the Match award for his century.
Earlier, New Zealand skipper Kane Williamson won the toss and decided to bat first. They did not get off to a fiery start as Naseem Shah sent opener Finn Allen in the first over itself.
Devon Conway then smashed a century, scoring 101 off 92 balls, while Kane Williamson played an 85-run knock from 100 balls to steer the team to 261. Mohammad Nawaz was the pick of the bowling attack for Pakistan with his four scalps. He dismissed Williamson, Daryl Mitchell, Tom Latham, and Glenn Phillips.
Later, the Kiwis bundled out the host for 182. Pakistan lost their openers, Fakhar Zaman and Imam-ul-Haq before the powerplay. Later, Babar Azam tried to stabilize the innings with his 79 runs from 118; but apart from him, other batters couldn’t even reach the 30-run mark.
In the first ODI, the Kiwis were asked to bat first, and they put on 255/9 with Tom Latham’s 42 and Michael Bracewell’s 43. Naseem Shah wrecked Kiwi’s batting line-up with five scalps, which also awarded him the Player of the Match award. Later, Fakhar Zaman’s 56, Babar Azam’s 66, and Mohammed Rizwan’s unbeaten 77 helped the host chase away the target comfortably.

But after the Ind vs Pak match of the 2016 Asia Cup, she rather got glued to the TV screen. That year she watched the major cricket tournaments, WWE matches, and the Olympics (especially Usain Bolt's races). After reading about the big names in tennis and becoming an ardent follower, she dreams of visiting Wimbledon one day.
