[WATCH]- Rajat Patidar breaks fridge with a powerful six vs Lucknow in Eliminator

IPL Eliminator is played between Royal Challengers Bangalore and Lucknow Supergiants on Wednesday, May 25 at the Eden Gardens Stadium in Kolkata. In the match, RCB’s Rajat Patidar broke the glass of the fridge with his power-hitting.

This happened on the last ball of 16 over when Ravi Bishnoi was bowling. The over proved to be an expensive one because Bishoi conceded 27 runs, all scored by Rajat Patidar. The first ball had gone for one run followed by six, four, six, four, and six. On the last ball, Rajat Patidar hit the ball over the man at long on fence for a superb hit to end the over but at the same time, the ball hit the glass of the fridge and broke it.

Rajat Patidar scores maiden century

Meanwhile, Lucknow had won the toss and opted to bowl first. RCB’s openers Virat Kohli and Faf du Plessis scored 25 and 0 and with Rajat Patidar’s unbeaten 112 off 54 with 12 fours and 7 sixes and Dinesh Karthik’s 37 runs off 23 balls with 5 fours and a six, RCB’s score reached a huge 207 runs by losing 4 wickets in 20 overs.

RCB roped in Patidar as a replacement for the injured Luvnith Sisodia for the remaining matches in IPL. Patidar represents Madhya Pradesh in domestic cricket. He was picked up at base price of Rs 20 lakh in the auction last season. He had played four matches and scored 71 runs at an average of 17. 75 and a strike rate of 114.52 last year which kept Patidar out of the team previously.
