It was another clinical performance by the Men in Green as they continue their winning spree in the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2021. Pakistan outclassed New Zealand in their second T20 World Cup match by five wickets to gain another two points. Just like their previous game, Pakistan vs New Zealand clash was also a one-sided affair.

Babar Azam(c) (2/10): It was a bad day at the office for the skipper Babar Azam. The 27-year-old could score only nine runs off 11 deliveries.  

Mohammad Rizwan (6/10): Mohammad Rizwan looked in fine touch early in his innings.  Rizwan was set in the middle and was able to read the game well. However, the batter perished after scoring 33 off 34 deliveries.

Shoaib Malik (7/10) Shoaib Malik shouldered the responsibility of taking Pakistan home in a tricky run-chase. Makin remained not out as he hit 26 runs in 20 balls he faced during the match.

Imad Wasim (8/10): The left-arm spinner Imad Wasim was sensational with the ball against New Zealand. Wasim picked up a wicket of Daryl Mitchell while conceding 24 runs in his four overs. 

Shadab Khan (7.5/10): Shadab Khan looked miser with the ball as he gave away just 19 runs in his three overs. However, Khan had to end the night without any wicket. 

Hasan Ali (4/10): Hasan Ali proved to be expensive with the ball as he conceded runs at an economy rate of 8.7. Adding to the misery, the pacer failed to pick even a single wicket during the match. 

Shaheen Afridi (8.5/10): Shaheen Afridi was as usual brilliant with the ball. The pace mainstay was successful in sending Tim Seifert back to the pavilion. He also gave away just 21 runs in his four overs.

Haris Rauf (10/10): Haris Rauf delivered one of the best performances of his T20I career as he picked up four crucial wickets to cause a collapse of the opposition batters.

Martin Guptill (3/10): Martin Guptill didn’t have an ideal start to his campaign. The opening batter was dismissed for only 17 runs. 

Daryl Mitchell (4/10): The other opener Darl Mitchell also had a below-par outing as he lost his wicket to Imad Wasim after scoring just 27 runs off 20 deliveries. 

Kane Williamson(c) (4/10): The skipper Kane Williamson was expected to play a captain’s knock. However, the batter also flattened as he could muster only 25 runs.

Devon Conway (4/10): Devon Conway was the highest run-getter for New Zealand alongside Daryl Mitchell. Conway also ended up with 27 runs in 24 balls including three boundaries. 

Mitchell Santner (7/10): Mitchell Santner gave away 33 runs in his four overs while picking up a lone wicket in the form of Mohammad Hafeez. 

Ish Sodhi (7.5/10): The spin mainstay Ish Sodhi gave away 28 runs in his four overs while picking up wickets including Mohammad Rizwan and Fakhar Zaman. Both the batters form a crucial part of the Pakistan setup. 

Tim Southee (7/10): Tim Southee was decent with the ball. He also dismissed just one batter while giving the opposition team 25 runs in their four overs.

Trent Boult (6/10): Trent Boult proved to be expensive with the ball. In his 3.4 overs only, Boult gave away 29 runs. The seamer will be hoping for a much-better performance in the second game.
