Recently, Kohli announced that he will not continue as a captain in the shortest format of the game for India but will be available as a batsman post the T20 World Cup. Since then, a lot of reports suggested that the decision came after many senior players and coaches were seriously annoyed with Virat Kohli.

Especially after the defeat in the final of the World Test Championship, Virat Kohli was extremely unhappy with the Indian team played. As per IANS reports, Ravi Ashwin, who was a part of the eleven who played against New Zealand in the final talked to the BCCI secretary against Kohli for making him feel ‘insecure’.

Kohli had reportedly accused the senior cricketer of showing ‘no intent’ during the World Test Championship final which did not go down well with Ashwin. Several media reports have suggested that not just Ashwin, but a few members of the coaching and support staff are also not happy with Virat’s behavior.

Evidently, two more senior batters had a conversation with BCCI secretary Jay Shah about how Virat Kohli treated them harshly. After the defeat in the WTC Final, Kohli openly claimed that, “the mindset of our batsmen has to be to score runs and find ways to score runs. You can’t be too worried about getting out because you are bringing the bowler into the game completely.”

One can say that Kohli is going through a very tough phase. He hasn’t scored a lot of runs with the bat, he has dropped captaincy in the shortest format for India, moreover, he also announced a little while ago that he will not continue as RCB skipper after this season.
