It was another bad at the office for Namibia as they registered their second consecutive loss of the T20 World Cup 2021. After getting defeated by Afghanistan, Scotland were beaten by Namibia by four wickets. Namibia made the most out of Scotland’s fragile batting order as they produced a disciplined bowling action.

George Munsey (0.5/10): George Munsey had a forgettable outing as he lost his wicket to Ruben Trumpelmann on a golden duck. 

Craig Wallace (1/10): Kyle Coetzer’s replacement, Craig Wallace failed to impress as he delivered an under-average performance with the ball. The middle-order batter faced 13 balls and ended up with just four runs. 

Matthew Cross(w) (/10): The wicketkeeper-batsman Matthew Cross was hoping to play a big knock but he was dismissed by Han Frylinck when he was playing at 19.

Richie Berrington (c) (0.5/10): The skipper Richie Berrington could not play as per his reputation as he lost his wicket on a golden duck to Ruben Trumpelmann.

Calum MacLeod (0.5/10): Calum MacLeod became Ruben Trumpelmann’s third wicket as he was also dismissed on a two-ball duck.

Michael Leask (9/10): Michael Leask was the only player to show some intent with the willow. Leask played a sublime knock of 44 runs off just 27 balls. Leask was also good with the ball as he picked two wickets at an economy rate of 6.

Chris Greaves (5/10): Chris Greaves was able to middle the ball well and was expected to play a sensible knock. However, the batter gifted his wicket to the opposition as a run-out after scoring 25 runs.

Mark Watt (8/10): Mark Watt also gave his best effort to save Scotland. The spinner picked up a lone wicket while conceding only 22 runs in his four overs.  

Josh Davey (5/10): Josh Davey had a below-average day. Davey failed to pick up wickets and ended up giving 15 runs in his two overs.

Safyaan Sharif (7/10): Safyaan Sharif continued his fine form as he picked one wicket while bowling at an economy rate of 6.6. 

Bradley Wheal (8/10): Bradley Wheal was brilliant with the ball. The 25-year-old bowled at an economy rate of 3.5 while picking up a wicket of Jan Frylinck.

Craig Williams (5/10): Craig Williams failed to capitalize on the good start. The opening batter scored 23 runs off 29 deliveries including one maximum. 

Zane Green(w) (3/10): Things didn’t go as per the plan for Zane Green as he could score only nine runs in 13 balls he faced with the willow. 

Gerhard Erasmus(c) (3/10): Gerhard Erasmus also had a torrid outing against Scotland. Gerhard failed to lead from the front as he could add only four runs to the scoreboard.

David Wiese (4/10): A lot was expected from David Wiese but he ended up with only 16 runs.

Michael van Lingen (4/10): Opening the innings, Michael van Lingen ended up with 18 runs in 24 balls he faced in the middle. 

JJ Smit (8/10): JJ Smit played a major role in Namibia’s victory. The batter remained not out till the end and returned with the sublime knock of 32 runs off 23 deliveries. 

Jan Frylinck (2/10): Jan Frylinck was the other Namibia player who failed to impress. The 27-year-old could score only 2 runs off four deliveries. 

Ruben Trumpelmann (10/10): Ruben Trumpelmann was adjudged the Man of the Match as he caused the most damage to Scotland. Ruben managed to dismiss them main Scotland batters on a duck.

Bernard Scholtz (3/10): It was a bad day at the office for Bernard Scholtz. The spinner bowled two overs and ended up giving 16 runs to the opposite team.
