Pakistan quick Shaheen Afridi has been in the spotlight ever since his impressive spell against India in the recently concluded T20 World Cup. While Afridi has been hailed as one of Pakistan’s brightest young talents, he rose to the occasion in his debut T20 World Cup as he led the charge with the new ball.
After a successful T20 World Cup campaign, Pakistan is taking on Bangladesh in a three-match T20I series. While Pakistan is looking to get over the heartbreak of a semifinal exist, the hosts are looking for redemption after they failed to win a single match in the Super 12 stage of the T20 World Cup.
Shaheen Afridi loses his cool after he gets hit for a six
During the second game of the series, pacer Shaheen Afridi lost his cool after Afif Hossain hit him for a six on the first ball he faced. The very next ball, Hossain defended the ball back to Afridi but the left-arm pacer decided to let out his anger as he aimed a throw at stumps. Unfortunately, it hit the batsman flush on the knee.
Afif Hossain immediately went down writing in pain as the throw missed the pad and hit his knee. Shaheen Afridi was quick to come across and apologise to the Bangladesh batsman. Pakistan skipper Babar Azam too rushed in to check on Hossain who seemed to be in a lot of pain.
Afifi Hossain was declared fit to continue batting after receiving treatment from the physio. Afif scored 20 runs in 21 deliveries before being dismissed by leg-spinner Shadab Khan. He was one of the two Bangladeshi batters who managed to cross the 12 run mark in the innings.
