Mumbai Indians

In the 51st match of the Indian Premier League 2021, Rohit Sharma’s Mumbai Indians showed some excellent gameplay and thrashed Sanju Samson’s Rajasthan Royals by eight wickets. Interestingly, they won the match inside ten overs.

Batting first, the Rajasthan Royals’ innings witnessed a complete collapse. Even though Evin Lewis and Yashaswi Jaiswal added 27 runs for the first wicket, only they along with David Miller and Rahul Tewatia could score in double digits. As a result, the just managed 90 runs for the loss of nine wickets after the end of 20 overs. Nathan Coulter-Nile bowled a brilliant spell for MI as he took four crucial wickets and gave away just 14 runs in his four overs.

Surprisingly, Ishan Kishan opened the innings with Rohit Sharma this time. The youngster scored an unbeaten half-century off just 25 deliveries and made sure that the match ended within the first 10 overs. Thus, the victory also helped Mumbai to improve their net run-rate.

With this victory, Mumbai Indians have climbed to the fifth sport in the points table of IPL 2021. On the other hand, Rajasthan Royals are at the seventh position now.
