The Indian cricket team is finding itself under fire after the team ended up on the wrong side of the result against New Zealand. Virat Kohli and men have failed to live up to their reputation in the ongoing T20 World Cup 2021. Men in Blue have succumbed to a torrid run and have delivered one of their worst performances in the tournament so far.

India’s first game in the global T20 event saw them registering a ten-wicket defeat against the arch-rivals Pakistan. Notably, this was the first time that India lost to Pakistan during an ICC World Cup. Instead of bouncing back in the next game, the Men in Blue delivered an even worst performance.

The hosts lost their second match to New Zealand by eight wickets to register two consecutive losses in the tournament. Currently, India is languishing at the penultimate position in the Super 12 Group 1 points table with no points to their credit.

Unsurprisingly, India’s poor performance in the ICC event hasn’t gone down well with the fans and the cricket fraternity. Many fans and experts took to their social media handles to unleash their anger on the Indian team. A lot of people seemed upset with the players as they bashed them on Twitter.

Meanwhile, Virat Kohli found himself trending on Twitter because of his old tweet. Back in January 2011, Kohli had shared a tweet on his Twitter that read, “Sad for the loss, going home now”

The cricket fanatics connected the tweet with India’s current situation. The trollers took this as an opportunity to troll the Indian players more.
