Day 6 of the World Test Championship saw the Indian batting lineup crumble in front of the New Zealand bowling attack. All players looked outmatches on the crease, apart from Rishabh Pant.

However, Pant was soon devoured in the constant pressure put on by the NZ bowlers. The Indian wicket keeper still somehow managed to amass 41 runs during his innings.

Before getting caught out on delivery by Trent Boult, Rishabh Pant did his absolute best to frustrate the Kiwis. He held his stance firmly on the crease. As a result, gave the Indian fans hope of winning the match.

Former Indian cricketer Wasim Jaffer took this opportunity to entertain cricket fans on Twitter. Jaffer tweeted:

Battle of the day

Jaffer drew comparison between the two cricketers by posting a versus image of a pant and WagonR car. Thus creating a metaphor between the surnames of the Indian batsman and NZ bowler.

While it was without a doubt a funny thing, team India are currently in a slump. In the second innings of the WTC final, they were sent back to pavillion with just 170 runs on the board.

The Men in Blue put a lead of just 138 runs on the board by doing so. While in any normal game, this would have all but confirmed their defeat, but the same cannot be said by the Ultimate Test.

This is the day 6 of the WTC final, due to the rain interrupting in between the match in earlier days. So the result needs to be decided today.

That being said, with just a little more than 1 session left, it is hard to see the black caps winning this game unless they bat very aggressively.
