Craig Overton and Cheteshwar Pujara

England’s bowling all-rounder Craig Overton lost his cool at India’s Cheteshwar Pujara during the second innings of the fourth Test match. The 27-year-old tried intimidating the Indian number three during the 49th over at The Oval.

Pujara, who was looking in great touch on the third day of the Test match, smashed two fours in a single over off Overton. Pujara guided the ball towards the boundary on the first and third deliveries of the over before putting a solid defence on the subsequent delivery.

The bowler looked absolutely irritated while leaking runs and seemed as if he was going to throw the ball at the batsman. Overton has so far claimed a single wicket of India’s vice-captain Ajinkya Rahane during the first innings of the ongoing Test.

The Virat Kohli-led side ended the play of Day 3 in a strong position where they gained a substantial lead of 171 runs over the opponents. The opening pair of Rohit Sharma (127) and KL Rahul (46) yet again performed exceptionally well against this English side.

Rohit Sharma broke several records with his first-ever overseas ton in Test cricket. Apart from him and Rahul, Pujara also chipped in with a decent knock of 61 runs. Currently, Kohli (22*) and Ravindra Jadeja (9*) are at the crease with seven wickets still in visitors’ hands.

Talking about England’s bowling attack, Ollie Robinson emerged as the pick of the bowlers with his two wickets in quick succession. Earlier, ace speedster James Anderson had got the wicket of Rahul during the 34th over of the innings.
