The performance of Rajasthan Royals (RR) in all three departments of the game in the ongoing edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) has not been amongst the best. Hence, Sanju Samson’s men are currently struggling at the second-last spot in the Points Table with just four wins in 11 games.

However, their lead pacer Mustafizur Rahman produced a miraculous fielding effort during match 43 against Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) on Wednesday. He saved five crucial runs for his side while fielding at fine leg, however, the match, unfortunately, didn’t end in their court

The incident occurred during the ninth over off Kartik Tyagi during RCB’s innings. The ball was travelling for a six when Glenn Maxwell hooked the fifth ball towards the boundary line but Rehman’s effort saw that the ball had only seen one run. This turned out to be an outstanding effort in favour of the Royals, who were already trailing in the game.

Coming to the result of the game, the Bangalore-based franchise comfortably chased down the target of 153 runs inside the 18th over. They produced a complete team performance as most of their players continued with either bat or ball.

During the run chase, Maxwell emerged as the top scorer for the Challengers with his unbeaten half-century in 30 deliveries. Earlier, RR could not post a massive total on the board despite a swashbuckling start at the top. Royals’ opening pair of Yashasvi Jaiswal (31) and Evin Lewis (58) indulged in a decent partnership of 77 runs before their side lost the momentum.

Harshal Patel claimed three wickets while Yuzi Chahal was adjudged as the ‘Player of the Match’ for his unbelievable spell of 4-0-18-2.
