The 26th match of the ongoing Big Bash League (BBL) was clinched by Hobart Hurricanes to register their fourth win of the tournament. The Matthew Wade-led side produced an all-round performance to surpass Melbourne Renegades in all three departments of the game at the Docklands Stadium, Melbourne.
The game also witnessed a special moment when speedster Riley Meredith completed an unbelievable catch to get the important wicket of in-form Mackenzie Harvey. This incident took place during the fourth over when the batter nicked a delivery which carried straight towards Peter Handscomb at first slip.
However, he dropped the catch but managed to pouch the ball higher in the air while Meredith dived as the short third man position to gobble the catch. Everyone was left in absolute shock while watching this take place on Wednesday as even the bowler Thomas Rogers reaction was also priceless.
