India’s swashbuckling batsman KL Rahul has successfully established himself as a technically sound batsman in the cricket fraternity. The 29-year-old is among the most highly rated cricketers in India’s next generation. The elegant right-hander possesses the ability to bat anywhere in the order for the Indian team along with being a part-time wicketkeeper.
It was the first-class cricket that gave Rahul his first stroke of the limelight. After an impressive stint in the domestic circuit, the batter fetched an IPL contract along with an opportunity of donning the Indian jersey.
Rahul’s first IPL contract came from Sunrisers Hyderbad in 2014 while it was Royal Challengers Bangalore who gave the batter recognition. The Karnataka-born now leads Punjab Kings in the Indian Premier League. However, there are chances that KL won’t be seen leading the Red Army again as many reports suggest that the batter has decided to part ways with the team post the 14th edition of the T20 extravaganza.
Apart from his professional life, Rahul also gains a lot of limelight for his personal life. Rumors suggest that another cricket-Bollywood couple is in the making as the Indian opening batsman is currently dating Bollywood actress Athiya Shetty.

There have been many speculations regarding the love affair between Athiya Shetty and KL Rahul. Though the two have been spotted together a lot of times, they have been always tight-lipped about their personal life. Both Rahul and Athiya have refrained from making any comment on their relationship. Thus, there is no official confirmation of the two seeing each other.
However, the couple almost confirmed their relationship earlier in the year as Athiya traveled with the Indian team to the United Kingdom. Rahul along with the entire cricket team toured England for a five-match Test series. The Bollywood diva was also with Rahul in the UK as suggested by her Instagram pictures and posts.
