As the 2021 edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) draws near, each team has started to step up preparations as a majority of the squad members have already arrived. Chennai Super Kings came up with plenty of smart buys at the auction such as those of Moeen Ali, K Gowtham, Robin Uthappa (trade window) and Cheteshwar Pujara. All four of the players joined the camp today and took to the field for training. CSK would want to come up with a much better showing than their performance last year where they could only manage to finish 7th, missing out on the playoffs for the first time in their history.

Cheteshwar Pujara took to the field for his first training session with CSK today and in a video posted by the franchise, said, “Really happy, it’s good to be out on the field. It’s good to be wearing yellow, really looking forward to my stint with CSK.”

Meanwhile, two Englishmen who were involved in the third ODI between India and England in Pune yesterday have joined the bubble in Mumbai as well. Sam Curran who nearly pulled off a jailbreak for the ages arrived along with Moeen Ali who was also impressive with the ball yesterday.
