Cyberpunk being delayed for the third time because to balance the game mechanics and graphics in-game. Rectify minor problems and improve the Day ‘0’ patch.
They have also delayed to push the game to Next gen, PlayStation, Xbox, PC, and Google Stadia.
The management team at CD Projekt Red has also come under the recent Crunch debacle.
Reports also say that they had to work overtime even after they had promised. To work the employees with no Overtime work. But Employees had to work for a total of 100 Hours in a week.
This time the date is postponed even after Going Gold
What is Going Gold Mean?
Going Gold means that the game has completed its release version. This means the whole game is ready for physical production of the game and users can play the game.
This doesn’t mean that the game has finished the development stage. A lot of work will include in this like adding expansions, updates, fixing bugs, and multiplayer modes. The workers also went to crunch mode working 6-day weeks working together for 100 hours in a week to complete their commitments.
They have also further stated that:
“The biggest challenge for us right now is shipping the game on current-gen, next-gen, and PC at the same time, which requires us to prepare and test nine versions of it”
We need to make sure everything works well and every version runs smoothly. We’re aware it might seem unrealistic when someone says 21 days can make any difference in such a massive and complex game, but they really do
The above statements and reasons have brought many fans’ frustration and these reactions are seen on Social media handles of Cyberpunk 2077.
