Daley Blind’s issues
Blind’s initial heart disaster came as a shock to everyone. The Dutch International first suffered dizziness during Ajax’s Champions League defeat against Valencia last year. He was diagnosed with inflammation of heart muscle. Blind returned to training from February having fitted with an implantable cardioverter defibrillator.
Erik Ten Haag on yesterday’s situation
Ajax boss, Ten Haag, confirmed that there was an alert sent by ICD after Blind collapsed again Berlin yesterday. “Daley Blind’s ICD went off. He got subbed off straight away and he is feeling ok now. He is feeling fine. We will do research about this now.”
The doctors will now ascertain the cause for yesterday’s collapse. In any situation, Blind is set for another spell at side-line due to heart diagnosis.
Blind who is an academy graduate of Ajax, also went on to play for Manchester United, before returning to Ajax. Their friendly against Hertha Berlin yesterday was a part of the preparatory camp for next season of Eredivisie. The 2019-20 season of Eredivisie was abandoned due to COVID-19 pandemic.
