Although things have been usually cordial between UFC and Bellator Presidents, they might be taking a new turn soon. The indications came after a post-event interview of Dana White.
He was asked to comment over the possibility of Hall Of Famer, Oscar de la Hoya making a return as an active boxer. The reply from the UFC President was both surprising and interesting.
The duo have been bitter earlier before this. It happened before there was ever talk of Conor McGregor versus Floyd Mayweather.
Though Dana White has said in the past that no one wants to see old men fight, he was in full support for Mike Tyson. With this, things took a new turn.
Dana White has earlier cross-promoted with another organization, PRIDE. But he got burned badly in that deal and swore he’d never do it again.

After this, fans have frequently called for cross-promotion fights between Bellator and the UFC. But White put these to bed for once and all.
Earlier, Scott Coker said that he feels he has the best 205 division with Jon Jones going to heavyweight, Dana White refuted it. His response was:
“Guys, everybody they have in their Light heavyweight division we let go of. He’s got the best Light heavyweight division? We let all those guys go. It’s like the f***ing dumbest thing I’ve ever heard. But I get it. He’s got to f***ing do his thing. I’m not sh****ng on him. He’s got to try and do his thing. He’s got to try to sell fights. The way you don’t sell fights is, say I’ve got the best light heavyweight division in the world, everybody that was there was let go from here”.
He further added that the idea of cross-promotion was not good at all and he knew nothing of their roster. But these things caused some problem for us. He is the student of combat sports and would definitely know about the big stars in other promotions.
Then, the Bellator star Patricio ‘Pitbull’ Freire fired back White. He tweeted;
Along with him, plenty of fighters didn’t took White’s assessment kindly.
