“Dangal Girl” urges people of Delhi to make lockdown successful

The Indian wrestler Geeta Phogat appealed to people of Delhi to follow lockdown and to support government and Delhi police by staying at home to stop the spread of corona virus. She also asked Delhites to follow social distancing and take proper measures while going out to buy essential products.

She tweeted “Due to the corona virus, everything is under lockdown. So, I appeal you all to support the Delhi police to make this successful. Stay at home. Step outside only if you have to buy some essential goods or in a medical emergency. Ensure social distancing and wear a mask whenever you go out and also take a healthy diet. We will all together fight against the Corona virus and defeat it by following the lockdown strictly.”

Geeta Phogat is the Indian wrestler and she won the first ever gold medal in women’s wrestling in Commonwealth Games 2010. And also first ever female wrestler qualified for Olympic summer games. She won bronze in world wrestling champion held in Canada in 2012.

As many of the sportstar are sending their messages to public through social media that they should follow the guidelines given by government and should follow the rules so Geeta has also tried give a small message to her fans to stay at home and follow lockdown.

The total cases of COVID-19 has crossed 4,000 and number of deaths are in triple figures now.
