Dayot Upamecano rejects a move to Manchester United in the summer and is interested in move to Liverpool, Chelsea or Bayern Munich
RB Leipzig is set to lose him in the summer and have demanded that any club who wants to sign him to pay his release clause in whole

A summer move for Dayot Upamecano by Manchester United is off the table according to Christian Falk of BILD Sport. The Frenchman prefers a move to other clubs like Liverpool, Chelsea and Bayern Munich as the RB Leipzig centre-back attracts attention from the biggest European clubs. A move to any of these clubs will obviously be a step-up for him in regards to global exposure and chance to develop his talent.

Each club has a need for a strong centre-back and Dayot Upamecano fits the bill

The Frenchman is built strongly and is very strong in the air and ground and also has a knack for long balls to the attack. He has all the quirks of a Liverpool defender as each of those defenders are ball-playing centre-backs who hit long balls to create attacks. That is one of the talents the current Liverpool side have as evidenced by the goals scored by Sadio Mane against Bayern Munich and Mohamed Salah against Chelsea.

Both goals had a common point in that being a Virgil van Dijk long ball from the heart of the central defence to one of the attackers. Dayot Upamecano is similar to Virgil van Dijk in that aspect and will be a valuable addition to Liverpool if he signs for them. Additionally Chelsea and Bayern Munich also have need for a centre-back and those needs are pressing.

Chelsea have got a stable influence in Thiago Silva, but don’t have a good enough partner for him. Dayot Upamecano could be the ideal partner for Thiago Silva as they could complement each other. Thiago Silva is a conservative defender while Dayot Upamecano could be the attacking defender. Ideally even a move to Bayern Munich will benefit Dayot as reports indicate that David Alaba and Jerome Boateng are leaving the club come the end of this season. Dayot Upamecano could be the face of the new centre-back pairing of Bayern Munich and will more than likely be paired with Lucas Hernandez or Niklas Sule.
