South African batsman AB de Villiers, one of the best limited overs batsman is planning his comeback in international cricket for South Africa. He retired from International cricket in May 2018 but if the T20 World Cup is postponed which is going to take place in Australia in October, will end his hopes of returning.
De Villiers told to newspaper that “If the tournament is postponed to next year, a whole lot of things will change, At the moment I feel available but, at the same time, I don’t know how my body will feel then and if I will be fit.”
For now there is nothing that T20 will be postponed but as we all know that due to corona virus all sports activity is halted. Villiers said that he is not the person who do things at 80% if he is 100% good he will surely join.
De Villiers also indicates that South Africa tours should go ahead as he will be available for limited over Series in Sri Lanka and visit WestIndies which includes T20 matches.
He told that he have to work hard to get into the team and not the kind of person who walks into just because he wanted to. The T20 World cup will be played in Australia from 18 October to 15 November.
