India team captain Virat Kohli and fast bowler Ishant Sharma lauded Delhi Police for their work. They are praising delhi police for their efforts which they are putting in lockdown for the the public. As policemen are controlling the situation and spreading awareness to people about this pandemic.
“I’m very grateful to policemen who are working for the nation in this situation and helping so many people in this difficult time” Kohli said in a video which is posted by Delhi police on their official twitter handle.
“I want to acknowledge the efforts of Delhi police who have not only performed their duties with absolute honesty but also taken food to the poor people on a daily basis, which is their utmost requirement. So, well done and keep putting in the same effort,” he added
After that, Delhi police thanked Virat Kohli by saying “Thanking you @imVkohli for your kind words of encouragement and support. In this fight against #COVID19 we are leaving no stone unturned to protect our fellow citizens.#DelhiPoliceFightsCOVID @PMOIndia @HMOIndia @LtGovDelhi @CPDelhi”.
On the other hand, Ishant Sharma urged people to follow the general guidelines which is issued by government and experts and stay at home. “Friends this is the time to stay at home and spend time with your family. Delhi police jawans are performing their duties day and night. So let’s help Delhi Police by staying at our homes and don’t pay heed to rumors,” said Ishant.
As they both were about to play India Premier League (IPL) 2020 but Borad of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) decided to postpone the league till 15th April due to coronavirus.
BCCI also asked the employees to work from their home.
