After the Serb has been ruthlessly bashed for a countless number of days for his Adria Tour, all that is coming to an end with Grand Slams and Garros Tournament approaching. ATP authorities have recently laid out their new schedule for the remaining year which resumes on the 14th August with the Citi Open in Washington.
Now many major players have preferred to play in the European competitions because of the quarantine time phrase imposed, for outsiders. Reports in Marca suggest Novak Djokovic is willing to take part in the US Open 2020 only if the officials agree to waive off the quarantine requirement upon returning to Europe.
An imposition of 14 days is supposed to be summoned on a player coming from any other country to Europe and if by any chance, Djokovic does take part in the US Open, It is supposed to be held on the 13th of September. While the Madrid and Rome tournaments are supposed to start on the 13th and 20th August respectively. The quarantine period would mean he will be missing both those tournaments. The competition Djokovic would be participating in after that, is the French Open, then.
Although the authorities will look into the matter not just from sporting point of view, but also safety, given the rise in the cases in the States.
