
Indian Shot-Put athlete, Navin Chikara gets suspended for 4-years by Global athletics body’s Athletics Integrity Unit as he failed to pass an out-of-competition dope test, he gave in the year 2018.
Reportedly, Chikara was banned for using a prohibited substance. His suspension starts from 27th of July 2018, a statement by ANI said.
The statement read, “On 27 July 2018, the Athlete was subject to out-of-competition Testing pursuant to the Testing Authority of the National Anti-Doping Agency of India in Patiala.”
“On 28 October 2018, the World Anti-Doping Agency accredited laboratory in Montreal, Canada, reported an Adverse Analytical Finding for the presence of GHRP-6 in the Sample,” it added.

Reports also claimed that in 2018, Chikara was imposed a provisional suspension, but he later waived it using his right to have a B sample analysed.
In December, 2018 Chikara gave a statement that he has accepted the AAF and it was in his knowledge that GHRP-6 is an prohibited substance.
On March 12, he admitted, that he has sent a signed copy back to the Admission of Anti-doping Admission of Anti-Doping Rule Violation and Acceptance of Sanction Form.
