Durand Cup 2021: CRPF vs Mohammedan Sporting Club Live Stream, Preview and Prediction

Day 6 in Durand Cup 2021 will see CRPF take on Mohammedan SC on Friday at the Kalyani Municipality Stadium in West Bengal.

CRPF lost 1-0 to second division side FC Bengaluru United as they recorded a win on their Durand Cup debut, while their opponents Mohammedan SC started off with dominant 4-1 victory against Indian Air Force in their first game of the 130th edition of the Durand Cup.

CRPF were beaten by FC Bengaluru United 1-0 thanks to Pedro Manzi’s second half strike at the Kalyani Stadium which was enough for them to record their debut win in their first ever Durand Cup appearance.

The Central Reserve Policemen were completely outplayed by the I-League second division side. It was a gritty display by them particularly in the first half of the match.

However CRPF did find some feet in the game with Dashpreet Singh pulling the strings in midfield, but forwards Amit Gayen and Ramesh Dolai couldn’t turn their chances into goals.

In the second half CRPF were hit by another blow when their keeper Moses Anthony was shown a red card by referee Rahul Gupta for handling the ball outside the penalty area, and now it was even more difficult to come back in the game with 10-men.

Mohammedan Sporting Club brushed aside Indian Air Force 4-1 in their first game. Milan Singh opened the scoring for his side in the 19th minute before defender Arijeet Singh added a second.
Azharuddin Mallick and Marcus Joseph added two more goals for the black panthers in the second half after Saurav Sadhukhan pulled one back for the Indians Air Force.

CRPF vs Mohammedan SC will be played at the Kalyani Municipality Stadium in Kalyani, West Bengal. The stadium has a total capacity of 20,000 seats. 50% fans will be allowed for the game due to Covid-19 restrictions.
