Speaking in a recent interview with Behind The Gloves, Eddie Hearn revealed that both the parties have approved the site offer and also that he was coming off a meeting with Tyson Fury in Vegas. He finally assured that they were moving forward, and the fight date would be announced soon.

‘I saw Tyson yesterday‘ – Eddie Hearn

Hearn was quoted as saying, “Both sides have approved the site offer that they want to go with, and now we’re just finalising the site deal and we’re in a great place. I saw Tyson yesterday. I just messaged him and said, ‘I’m in Vegas, I’m in your hotel if you fancy a cuppa’.” [via SkySports]

He continued, “We just had five or 10 minutes together and it was good, because I don’t represent Tyson Fury, so I don’t know what is in his mind. What he basically cemented in my mind was, this is the only fight he wants, and I know that’s the same with AJ. It’s just good to say, right we’ve got the offer, we all approve. We’re moving forward now. We’re good.” [via SkySports]

The only struggle in landing a proper location had been the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, but now it looks like they have got it figured out. The fight will be a title unification bout for the undisputed heavyweight champion of the world. Fingers crossed for the high-voltage contest!
