Anthony Joshua’s promoter and Matchroom Boxing CEO Eddie Hearn spoke about this in an interview with SkySports and revealed how he had caught up with Tyson Fury recently in Vegas. Hearn also revealed that Fury told ‘this was the only fight he wanted right now’.

I bumped into Fury in Vegas and he reassured me that he’s all-in‘ – Eddie Hearn on Tyson Fury

Eddie Hearn was quoted as saying, “I bumped into Fury in Vegas and he reassured me that he’s all-in. There are lots of characters involved – some are not so involved but still have comments to make. I wanted to see Fury because you see interviews from various people and I had started to doubt that he actually wanted the fight. I felt that he did.

Hearn concluded, “When we met up, he made me feel that he really wants this fight. ‘Let’s get this done, it’s the only fight that I want’. He’s bang up for this fight and so is Joshua.”

Both Joshua and Fury have been training very actively for their fight. In fact Joshua hasn’t stopped training since the Kubrat Pulev fight, which he won in December 2020.

Fury, on the other hand, hasn’t fought since his stunning win over Deontay Wilder in February 2020. He however has begun training, as he has been posting regular training updates on Twitter.
