Rivalry or not, Eden Hazard was a pure joy to watch as he played beautiful football with his entire skillset and talent on show every single time. His solo goals against Arsenal, West Ham United and Liverpool were a thing of beauty and he was expected to be the same player for Real Madrid. While there were glimpses of his talent, Hazard has endured a nightmare move to the Los Blancos.

Dr. Jose Gonzalez stated that a third surgery to Eden Hazard’s ankle could potentially be career-ending for him. It is a risky affair and while it could give him immediate effect, the long term effect of it would be to never see him play again. This has been a point of contention between the Belgium National Team and Real Madrid as the former wants surgery to be done for Hazard.

Dr. Gonzalez also said that Hazard had to heal without any surgery and it will take a very long time-even the end of the season. The winger must heal without surgery and then must work his way to fitness before playing a match for Real Madrid. This could potentially see him miss Real Madrid’s campaign in the La Liga and the Champions League while missing the Euro 2021. If he refuses to do any of this or rushes himself toward full fitness, he will suffer the same injury over and over.

This is genuinely a terrible situation to be in and the most that anyone else other than Hazard and the medical team can do is to pray for him. Losing a superstar like him will be a genuine blow to the world of football.
