All the sporting events have been cancelled or postponed due to COVID-19 and now European Hockey Federation (EHF) has made an announcement about the cancellation of Euro Hockey Junior Invitational Events 2020.

The authorities said that the event of this season will not be held this year. The next Euro Hockey Junior Invitational Events will be held in 2022.

Marijke Fleuren, the president of EHF said, “The EHF has taken a step-by-step approach to decisions around our events this year. Our decisions have been made based on the fantastic co-operation of our hosts and being mindful of the many Governments’ travel restrictions around Covid-19.”

Euro Hockey Junior Invitational, Women and Euro Hockey Junior Invitational Men are the tournaments which are affected by this decision. It was scheduled to be held from August 9 to August 15 in Wales and Portugal.

Fleuren said, “We have seen our Easter, Whitsun and July events cancelled and unfortunately now we feel it is the right time to cancel our Euro Hockey Junior Invitational events planned for August.”

Right now, all the games have been cancelled due to the coronavirus outbreak.
Tokyo Olympics will be held in next year, Wimbledon is cancelled and IPL has been postponed indefinitely.
