The Briton won 10 consecutive matches to claim the title, and became the first qualifier to win the US Open. The Briton is heard saying that the challenge was harder than she had expected, as she misses most of her targets. However, she does manage to hit the target towards the end of the stipulated time.
Emma Raducanu last competed at Linz Open 2021, where she was defeated in the last 16 by Wang Xinyu in three sets. After her triumph at US Open 2021, Raducanu has not been at her best, as she was also defeated in the second round at Indian Wells.
The British teenager has already set her sight on the next season, and has already started her pre-season training. The Briton has also confirmed her participation at Australian Open in January next year, as she plans to fly out on January 17.
