If you use bugs and exploits in the game, Fortnite can either ban you or not ban you. It depends on the extremity of the situation. The seriousness of the infraction will determine whether or not the support staff bans players who are found employing glitches and exploits.

For instance, it is not illegal to gain a lot of experience points on a Fortnite XP map. In the same way, violating a game mechanic is not something for which players may be penalized. Epic has now issued bans for players for abusing the recent XP Glitches through unreleased LTMS.

Fortnite players can no longer use XP Glitches from unreleased LTMS

Because there is no use of third-party software like “aimbot,” Epic Games is unable to outright ban a player. Nevertheless, there are always exceptions to the rules, and these are only applied when a person has been abusing them to impede fair game play.

With Creative mode still under development, the most frequent occurrence of XP glitches is discovering hidden buttons on maps. In fact, a sizable portion of the gaming community experiments with XP glitch maps. Even though not all of them function as planned, they occasionally offer a sizable amount of XP. Players won’t be banned for utilizing them because they are only available in Creative.

Now however, Epic Games has banned people that have made use of the recent XP Glitches with unreleased LTMS (Limited Time Modes). This shows that exploiting XP Glitches along with LTMS is now unacceptable, even though it has been allowed to happen for the past couple of years.

The ban isn’t expected to be for a long period. Players can expect their bans to be lifted in a matter of days as it’s a first time offence. However, this serves as a warning to Fortnite players looking to exploit such glitches using unreleased LTMS as it is now something that they can be penalized for.
