Clash of Clans Raid Medals are an in-game currency in the Clan Capital Village. The Clan Capital update introduced raid weekends into the game. These clan events are similar to the Clan War Leagues. Note that CWL rewards you with league medals that can be used in the league shop, whereas raid weekends reward you with Raid Medals.

Raid Medals act as the primary reward during Raid Weekends. They can be used to purchase items from the trader in exchange for magic items and resources. Raid Medals can additionally be used to reinforce troops in clan castles, as they allow you to donate troops to yourself.

To participate in a Raid Weekend, you must upgrade your Capital Hall to at least level 2. The raid weekend starts every Friday and ends on a Sunday. During this time, the leader or any co-leader can activate the event, and all other members can start participating.

Each player gets five attacks in the raid weekend. An additional attack is also awarded once you three-star a clan district. Keep in mind that the player who gets the third star in a clan district is the one awarded with the extra attack. Raid Medals earned from attacks are based on the number of districts destroyed and raids completed. Maximise this criterion by getting the best possible result in each attack to maximise the number of raid medals you receive.

Raid Medals can also be earned through defence. The more successful defences your clan makes, the more raid medals you will receive. Raid medals achieved through defence are based on the amount of housing space that your defences manage to take out. All medals achieved through defence are distributed equally among all clan members. Defence layouts are set up by the leaders or co-leaders of the clan, so they may not entirely be in your hands.

Maximising both of these criteria will help you get the most amount of raid medals in a season. Do not rush before attacking. Review your opponents’ layouts, defensive troops and defences. Attack with a well-crafted strategy. Take help from your clanmates if needed. Practice makes perfect.

Raid Medals are given out at the end of the raid weekend. You can attain a maximum of 3,000 Raid Medals each season. After a raid weekend, you will be able to view your results in the district interface. You will be able to view additional information, such as members’ performance ranked by capital gold looted, a summary of attacking raids completed and every raid weekend that the clan participated in.
