Much to the delight of players, Krafton has officially revealed the schedule of the BGMI 1.8 update and the update came much sooner than fans expected. The new update has already been released in PUBG Mobile and it is believed that the update rollout will conclude today.
BGMI 1.8 update was highly anticipated by the fans as the new content marks the beginning of Spiderman’s arrival in Battlegrounds Mobile India. The spider man mode is the primary attraction of the BGMI 1.8 update as the collaboration teaser took the fans by surprise. Various other new features that were shown in PUBG Mobile patch notes are also going to be a part of BGMI’s new update.
BGMI 1.8 update official release date and time
Even though Krafton is primarily engaged in conducting the biggest tournament of Battlegrounds Mobile India to date, it makes certain that the players are not disappointed with the update delay. In an official notice, it has been stated that the developers will start rolling out BGMI 1.8 update today i.e. 14th January. The update schedule will be different for Android and iOS devices

BGMI 1.8 update features
Even though the developers have not revealed the patch notes of the new update as of now, players might be already aware of the notable features as patch notes of PUBG Mobile 1.8 are already available. Various YouTubers had also revealed the new features as seen in the beta version.
Spiderman themed game mode
Battlegrounds Mobile India had announced a collaboration with Spiderman No Way Home. As a result, Spider-Man will replace the characters of Arcane. A special game mode will be available where players can use the exclusive abilities of their favorite superhero.
8 vs 8 TDM Map
A new Team Deathmatch map named ‘Santorini’ will be available in BGMI 1.8 update. Eight players will face their eight opponents in a completely different location. Several YouTube videos displayed the gameplay of the Santorini map and players are pumped up to try out the new TDM map.
A new classic mode map will be available in Livik map. The Aftermath mode will consist of various modern equipment such as ziplines, tactical gears, and more. Players will be able to see a landscape featuring volcanic eruptions, therefore, Aftermath mode is going to be a great addition.
