This law states that the central and the state governments of the country have the authority “to intercept, monitor or decrypt any information generated, transmitted, received or stored in any computer resource”. We should remind the readers that when Krafton’s game was initially brought to the country, there were some issues pertaining to the game’s privacy policy.

Many allegations of the South Korean game developer allegedly sharing Indian player’s information with the Chinese government were also made. However, no further action was taken by the concerned authorities. As the BGMI ban issue has once again come into the limelight, players and eSports professionals are obliged to follow the decision taken by the government.

Will BGMI be unbanned?

While no discussions regarding the game getting unbanned were made officially, Krafton’s CEO of India was found assuring the players about coming into a mutual decision with the authorities. It should, however be noted that the chances of the government uplifting the ban look quite bleak.
