Players who pre-ordered the game digitally will automatically have early access to the open beta on their chosen platform. For those who received an early access code, they will need to redeem it through their Battle.Net account. Console players will receive a platform-specific code via email closer to the start of the early access period.

Blizzard has also announced that couch co-op will be available during the beta period on both Xbox and PlayStation platforms. Both players will need to have their own Battle.Net accounts to enable this feature and can create up to 10 characters during the beta period.

The early access period is invitation-only and requires a pre-order or an invitation. Meanwhile, the open beta is available to everyone and can reward players with in-game goodies.
