The trailer also revealed that the Battle Pass for Chapter 3 Season 2 will see two new Marvel characters making their debut in Fortnite, Doctor Strange and the Prowler, the latter being the Battle Pass’ secret skin. The arrival of Doctor Strange in Fortnite was previously rumored to be happening, but it’s exciting to see the character appear in the game, along with the hints that another Marvel character could also be appearing soon.

According to prominent Fortnite leaker Shiina on Twitter, if players are talking with the Metal Team Leader NPC while sporting the Doctor Strange skin, they will make mention about whether they will get to see their “Sythezoid” friend again. This has led to many players speculating that this could be reference to the Vision, another prominent Marvel character, and whether they could be appearing in the game in the future.

While this could just be a fun Easter Egg regarding a popular character, it’s not out of the possibility that a character skin for Vision could be on the way. And with the release of characters like the X-Men’s Gambit and Rogue into the game, there could be some speculation that Vision’s partner Wanda Maximoff, the Scarlet Witch, could also appear alongside him.

With the Fortnite crossover comic with Marvel, Zero War, hitting shelves in June, there is plenty of opportunities for more Marvel characters to appear in the game, and with them a greater expansion to Fortnite’s ever-growing narrative.
