Players of Genshin Impact have always been very excited regarding the new updates in the game and while they are currently enjoying the 2.4 update, leaks regarding Genshin Impact 2.5 update has already started to create a hype among the players.
Considering the popularity of a certain event released in the game, the developers try to bring back well received events. The announcement of Lantern Rite festival rerun in the current update took the Genshin Impact by storm and while the fans already knew that the Hyakunin Ikki event will make a return, the trail characters that will be included in the event have also been revealed.
Genshin Impact 2.5 update leaks reveal Hyakunin Ikki trial characters
Hyakunin Ikki event was first released in the 2.1 update where players were able to show off their combat skills in a tag team of two characters. The trial characters given could be used to mix with the own choice of characters selected by the players. A total of six challenges had to be completed by the players where each challenge gave a certain power to the characters.
The trial characters for Hyakunin Ikki event in Genshin Impact 2.1 were set at Level 80 with their fixed weapons and artifacts. Players were able to use Garyuu Arts in place of Elemental Resonance to assist them in the battle. Following characters were provided:

These characters, however, are subjected to change, therefore, players should wait for official announcements. Looking at the previous event, it can be assumed that the level of these trial characters will also be set at 80. Considering the popularity of characters such as Kamisato Ayaka and Arataki Itto, players certainly would not want to miss the Hyakunin Ikki rerun event in Genshin Impact 2.5 update.
Apart from that, it has also been revealed that new enemies will be added in this event which might provide a tough time to the players. The enemies will be named Shadowy Husk which will come with three variations- Standard Bearer, Line Breaker and Defender. As per Genshin Impact 2.5 update leaks, the Shadowy Husks will have anti-shield properties, which means if they hit a character with shield properties, they can heal themselves and nearby enemies.
The addition of Shadowy Husks and trial characters such as Ayaka and Itto will certainly make Hyakunin Ikki event rerun in Genshin Impact 2.5 update more enjoyable. Players will be able to collect primogems which will be based upon the points obtained in the event.
