Users on Twitter pointed out Rockstar replicating landmarks from Miami in the game.

GTAForums became home to this massive leak, with the user behind it supplementing screenshots of GTA 6’s source code and internal documents to prove his material’s authenticity. Most of the footage seems extremely barebones, as it comes from a test build used to debug various features of the game.

The footage brings to light tons of details, confirming many old rumours as well as showing off new mechanics which will be a part of the game. GTA 6 seems to feature the ability to interact with all NPCs, quite similar to the conversations mechanic found in Red Dead Redemption 2, another game by Rockstar Studios.

The footage also reveals interactive interiors in the GTA 6’s vehicles, showing moving accelerator and brake pedals as well as a height-adjustable steering wheel, adding a touch of realism to the game. Speaking of realism, fans were quick to point out how the game had replicated parts of real-life Miami in the game’s Vice City, something which the series has been doing for quite some time.

The leaked videos also show that the series’ famous tongue-in-cheek satirical humour will also be a part of the game, with one video showing two NPCs talking about conspiracy theories regarding the death of LifeInvader founder-CEO Jay Norris, a character killed by Michael in the GTA 5 mission Friend Request.

Other things seen in the footage show the game’s weapon wheel design, gunplay mechanics, a tram system, as well as the game’s police AI. According to the user behind the leak, he could be leaking more details regarding the game, as well as source code for GTA 5 and 6. It remains to be seen if Rockstar themselves will acknowledge this major data being leaked from their end.
