If game insiders confirming the GTA 6 leaks were not enough for fans, Rockstar Games has provided them with an enhanced assurance earlier today that the gameplay videos indeed belonged to their upcoming title. In an official statement, they have also stated that they are not planning to delay the game any further, which is definitely ‘good news’ for the fans.

GTA 6 might soon see its dawn as the highly anticipated title got its gameplay leaked on GTA Forums, much to the surprise and nightmare of the franchise’s publishers. Rockstar Games is certainly devastated, which is evident from their recent statement.

The GTA 6 forum website recently saw as many as 90 gameplay videos depicting a male and a female protagonist leaked by a user named ‘teapotuberhacker’. The leaker even revealed that the upcoming title will be set in Vice City. The hacker was planning to leak more videos but offered to negotiate a deal with the developers.

In addition to that, source codes for the ongoing GTA 5 and upcoming title were also up for sale, that certainly gave a tough time to Rockstar Games’ employees. A day after fans saw the massive gameplay leak, the publishers released an official statement earlier today.

Rockstar Games took to their major social media platforms such as Twitter and Instagram to declare-

“We recently suffered a network intrusion in which an unauthorized third party illegally accessed and downloaded confidential information from our systems, including early development footage for the next Grand Theft Auto.”

GTA fans were concerned that the unexpected gameplay footages getting revealed in such a manner might cause the game to get delayed further as the developers might work to make some major changes in the game to provide the upcoming title with a complete new makeover.

Rockstar Games, however has claimed that they are not anticipating any disruption to their long term ongoing projects, indicating the development of GTA 6.

“At this time, we do not anticipate any disruption to our live game services nor any long-term effect on the development of our ongoing projects.”

They also stated that they are disappointed to see that the game, which they have been working on for such a long time, got leaked in such a manner. Nevertheless, they remain committed to provide a seamless gaming experience with their upcoming title and properly introduce the game when it is ready to be released.
