Jetpacks are rumoured to be returning to Fortnite, allowing for hovering

According to leaks, jetpacks may be returning to Fortnite, this time with hovering capabilities. Jetpacks were added to the enormously popular battle royale game for a limited time a few years ago, and they were just one of several unique gameplay changes in Fortnite.

Fortnite, as far as free-to-play live-service games go, has seen more modifications than the majority. Epic Games’ hugely popular multiplayer game attracts a lot of attention from the gaming world because of its constantly changing content, which includes everything from new outfits to entirely new maps.

Fortnite may occasionally add new features to its fundamental gameplay, with prominent examples being mantling and vehicles. The most recent modification to the Fortnite model was the elimination of the infamous building mechanic, which has thrown the game’s moment-to-moment action into disarray. Over time, new traversal alternatives have been implemented, such as Spider-Man web shooters, which allow for new mobility mechanics and difficulties.

Rumours about Jetpack coming back in Fortnite

According to HYPEX, another change in movement could be on the way (via PCGamesN). Jetpacks are scheduled to return in Fortnite season, according to HYPEX’s tweet, which included a video from Postboxpat, and will spawn within IO blimps. A new hovering function will allow players to shoot while in mid-air, according to the tweet. HYPEX did not provide a specific date for when this new feature would be available.

While all leaks should be treated with caution, there’s reason to suspect this material is correct. For starters, HYPEX has a good track record when it comes to leaks, having accurately reported Fortnite additions like tanks before they were officially revealed. The video from Postboxpat that followed HYPEX’s tweet is more believable, as it does not appear to be a changed or staged footage and matches all of the facts HYPEX provides regarding the jetpacks.

It’s uncertain whether jetpacks will be temporary or permanent if they are implemented. Despite their popularity, Spider-web Man’s shooters were eventually removed from Fortnite, and it’s possible that jetpacks will follow suit. Alternatively, these pick-ups may end up working well with the game’s primary gameplay architecture and thus remain in the game. However, the game’s long-term future is uncertain, and the game’s creators are nearly certain to have many more surprises in store for players beyond this hypothetical new traversal element.
