Valorant leaks confirmed Killjoy balance incoming in the future

Valorant leaker says a Killjoy rework is in coming soon

Valorant is currently deviating from its previous patchwork and is planning to rework one of its popular sentinel agents, Killjoy. Killjoy has the ability to lock down an entire site by herself, making her a valuable asset in the game. Her trusty turret is a powerful tool that can assist her in stopping enemy attacks. Together, they make a dynamic duo that is feared by opponents.

After the nerf of Chamber, Killjoy is one of the most picked sentinels in the game. Although it is one of the hardest agents to master, but it’s easy to learn her in game mechanics. Killjoys’ ability to play passive is a massive boost when it comes to retake a site. Combined with Sova, Jet, Astra and Breach, Killjoy can simply hang back and keep an eye on attacks from rear and counter. Best way to play Killjoy is to place her Nano swamps close to the plant area and set her turret in an elevated position. Her alarm bot should always be for lurkers who try to sabotage by roaming around solo.

Popular Valorant news leaker MIkeValorantLeaks on Twitter shared about the upcoming Killjoy update. The post reads “Killjoy Balance” and this comes after the new sentinel Gekko joined the squad. After Gekko’s release, the Meta has slowly shifted towards more conservative style of play.

This will be the second time in within 2 months that Killjoy is going to receive a rework. After her nerf in the last patch which decreased her Turret’s health to 100 from 125 certainly caused a stir. Players also had to collect either extra kill or ULT ORB in order to activate her Lockdown Ultimate. The nano swamps however were left alone.

Not just Killjoy, but gung-ho duelist Raze also received a nerf. Her Boombot‘s duration reduced to only 5 seconds. This post doesn’t really indicate anything about any change for Raze but it will be interesting to see what Riot does about the lore between the two.

It remains to be seen whether the supposed balancing work will give her a buff or nerfs her even more. Fans must also keep an eye on the Valorant lore as it heats up even more day by day as fan theories flood the twitter and reddit.

Serious Killjoy mains should start grinding if they don’t want to wait for the changes in the next update. All in all, agents receive changes from time to time in order to keep the game interesting, whether the next update does justice, will have to wait and see.
