As a guest on the Trash Taste Podcast, she chose to talk about her life in the city of Los Angeles as well as her opinions and experiences on living in a “creator house”.

The Trash Taste Podcast is an anime podcast starring three Tokyo-based creators Connor ‘CDawgVA’ Colquhoun, Joey ‘The Anime Man’ Bizinger and Garnt ‘Gigguk’ Maneetapho. The trio had been on tour, shooting a series of collaborative podcasts with members of OfflineTV while in LA and also coming as guests on the OfflineTV Podcast.

Pokimane was their guest on the latest episode of the podcast. During their conversation, the topic of her daily life in Los Angeles came up, with Pokimane being asked about her thoughts on the city. The streamer replied by saying-

"I can’t say it’s s**t but you do feel a little bit like a prisoner. Like how you can feel imprisoned in like a toxic relationship. That’s the best way to put it it’s like I just can’t change"

“There are major downsides, but there are major upsides” she added. Pokimane stated that LA is not that bad, otherwise, she won’t be living there, but she feels it’s not that great either, “It really is toxic” she said.

Pokimane also commented on content houses, having lived in one of them for 4 out of the 5 years she has spent in Los Angeles. “Most of them were officially streamer houses. Like I lived with OTV but then I lived with streamers but we weren’t like we were a household content creators but we didn’t make content together.”, she explained.

She commented how the houses were extremely messy and unkempt, owing to the number of people living there under one roof, saying “After being in like content creator houses for four years, my standards are on the ground and everything else is on the ground too.”
