Team Soul makes their way to PMWI 2022

After putting up an outstanding performance at the inaugural series of Battlegrounds Mobile Pro Series 2022 and clinching the champion’s trophy, Team Soul has made their way to the PUBG Mobile World Invitational 2022 which is scheduled to take place this August.

Krafton hosted the first season of Battlegrounds Mobile Pro Series with a whopping 2 Crores prize pool this year. It is the second major tournament that was announced by the South Korean gaming developer for BGMI and undoubtedly, the tournament saw some action packed performances.

Team Soul’s entry in PUBG Mobile World Invitational 2022 confirmed

Tencent indeed surprises its fans every year with huge tournaments and collaborations. It was earlier teased that the month of June consists of a big surprise and it was revealed earlier today that the winner of BMPS Season 1- Team Soul will be making their way to the PUBG Mobile World Invitational 2022.

The announcement is however partially official as Tencent is yet to announce the invited teams for the tournament. The subtle confirmation came through the Instagram story of PUBG Mobile Esports where the developers put up a screenshot of Stalwart Esports’ story mentioning the members of Team Soul to arrange for their passports.

The humorous comment has been made by Stalwart Esports in the context of GodLike Esports getting the slot at PUBG Mobile Global Championship 2021 after Skylightz Gaming won the BGIS 2021 as they had some issues with their passports. With the officials of the battle-royale game putting up the story at their social media handle, fans were quick to discern Team Soul’s participation.

Team Soul won the recently concluded tournament with 355 points, defeating other equally powerful teams such as OR Esports and Enigma Gaming. The team went home with the cash prize of 75 lakhs INR and also won some other awards such as Fan Favorite Team, Rampage Freak etc. Their team consists of the following players-

  • Sohail Shaikh (Soul Hector)
  • Akshat Goel (Soul Akshat)
  • Harsh Paudwal (Soul Goblin)

The exceptional fragger, Soul Goblin stamped his name in the history books as he became the first player to obtain 100 kills in a tournament. Veteran players like Mortal and Viper also provided their required support that led to the team’s victory. With Team Soul now heading towards a bigger tournament, fans have kept their expectations high.
