Much to the delight of the players, Krafton has announced the first eSports tournament for their futuristic battle-royale game, PUBG New State. The tournament has been named New State Mobile Open Challenge and is limited to Korean players only.
Esports has become a worldwide recognized phenomenon nowadays as eSports organizations can be seen hosting tournaments with humongous prize pools. Krafton’s PUBG New State was released in November 2021, where the officials described that they have discussed various ways to popularize the eSports scenario of the game. Today, the South Korean gaming developer has announced New State Mobile Open.
PUBG New State Mobile Open Challenge announced by Krafton
The delightful announcement of New State Mobile Open Challenge came through the social media handles of the game. It is open for all tournament, however, players should note that the tournament is limited to the South Korean region only. The prize pool of the tournament has been kept at $250,000 and is scheduled to commence from 5th February.
South Korean players can register for the tournament here. The tournament will also be live-streamed on the official YouTube channel of PUBG New State starting from February 15th. However, it hasn’t been informed as to when the tournament will be live-streamed. Meanwhile, players can look at the schedule below:
- February 5th – Online open qualifiers
- February 6th – Online open qualifiers
- February 12th – Online open qualifiers
- February 13th – Online open qualifiers
- February 15th to 18th – Offline group stage at IVEX Studio in Gwang-Myeong, South Korea
- February 19th – Offline grand finals at IVEX Studio in Gwang-Myeong, South Korea
The registrations will conclude on February 2nd and only players holding Gold I rank in Season 1 are eligible for the tournament. The PUBG New State tournament will be exclusively played on the BR: Extreme Mode. It is a hardcore game mode where 64 players land together in a smaller area of Troi. Players will land with P1911 handgun, a smoke grenade, fully charged boost meters, and 300 Drone Credits.
