The trailer feature 5 Valorant fans with their room fully decorated with their favorite agent’s merch and calling their squad to jam in Valorant. As everybody knows, Valorant stays connected to the community memes and jokes running around, they gave these people unique in-game names according to their agents. For the Reyna player, they named him 3mpr3ss. They named Chamber main Tour de frag. For Sage, Raze, and Neon main, they named them Her Sage, ShowStopper12, and Nice to Zap You respectively. These names are quite popular in the community. On the agent selection team, instead of agents in the selecting row, the trailer featured all the teams indicating players to support their favorite team.

Fans are really hyped for the tournament but some have shown their concern about the format of the VCT LOCK//IN. The tournament is single-elimination, which means 1 loss and you’re flying back home.

Later, the global head of Valorant esports, Leo Faria explained the reason for this format. He revealed that since there are already 32 teams, time is the main factor for opting for this format.

So players can expect many upsets in the VCT LOCK//IN. It will be very interesting to see if any new underdog team comes outta nowhere and wins the whole thing.
