One of the most watched female streamers amassing millions of views from YouTube, Rachel “Valkyrae” Hofstetter recently opened up on her dating experiences in a podcast for 100Thieves, a prominent lifestyle and gaming brand where she is one of the founders along with other notable personalities such as Drake and CourageJD.
Rachel is an active YouTuber who currently enjoys more than 3.6 million subscribers on the platform by Google. Dubbed the “Queen of YouTube”, the streamer has been quite frequent lately in revealing some details on her personal life.

Valkyrae explains why ‘dating apps’ are not her thing anymore
In a podcast named Boomer vs Zoomer, the gamer was asked about a plethora of things, and undoubtedly fans were excited to know everything about the streamer, starting from her opinion on Anime or Manga to the details of her dating life. The latter topic, for obvious reasons, became the talk of Rae’s community recently.
Valkyrae was asked about how her love life is going on currently by the host to which the streamer gave a hilarious laugh. It was later followed by the revelation that she has uninstalled the dating apps right now but she tried them at some point in time. She was quoted saying,“I uninstalled it but I have tried dating apps but it’s, I get too paranoid that I am going to get recognized and that’s going to be the reason why they talk to me.”
She further stated that she has undergone a habit of uninstalling the dating apps and then further installing them only to repeat the same process over and over again. However, she also informed her fans that she went on a date through this dating app and it went quite well but as she got busy she was not able to continue the relationship.
Valkyrae, time and again stated that she doesn’t want someone who will date her due to her popularity which is one of the main reasons she is not able to use dating apps consistently even if those apps are used by celebrities or prominent people in the industry. As the streamer became quite frank on her dating life, fans were quick to pour in their reactions and their overwhelming appreciation for the podcast.
This is probably the first time that the streamer revealed something about her dating life, an aspect that other streamers in the community usually avoid commenting on. Fans have been appreciating Valkyrae for her bold moves as she recently revealed that she has aphantasia, a rare mental condition.
