Team Heratics

Heretics Esports, a Spain-based professional Valorant team has finally revealed its roster for VCT 2023. As is customary with all partners, the primary aim is to compete in the APAC region and spread their influence. While this team might be relatively unknown in Valorant, their constant presence in Rainbow Six Siege, Dota 2 and CS: GO and similar games has attracted interest from fans globally.

According to the announced team, the current roster comprises of:

  • Wassim “keloqz” Cista
  • Óscar “mixwell” Cañellas Colocho
  • Aleksander “zeek” Zygmunt
  • Ričardas “Boo” Lukaševičius
  • Auni “AvovA” Chahade

Neil “neilzinho” Finlay has joined the team as the head coach, alongside Brandon “weber” Weber, who shall serve as the secondary coach for this squad. Keloqz is a direct acquisition from G2 Esports after spending most of his time as a benched player in the 2022 season, along with Mixwell joining in from the same franchise. Finally, zeek, Boo and AvovA have been recent acquisitions for the team.

Boo, as always will serve as the IGL and Initiator for the Valorant roster. AvovA will play Controller Agents mainly Omen or Viper, while Zeek is expected to be seen as the secondary Duelist alongside Keloqz, incase the team runs a dual duelist lineup. If that’s the case, then Mixwell will be left to run the sentinels in the map.

The Guard set to re-sign professional Valorant player TrentFPS

Trent FPS

The preseason has seen several surprising transfers, with El Diablo choosing to join the Cloud9 roster and Sentinels dropping ShahZam from the roster and adding him into their hall of fame. Cryocells has joined 100T, with Sam searching for a way out, and overall has been a whirlwind so far, OpTic Gaming even reaching the point of dissolution. The Guard is stealthily on their way to building a strong squad, by re-signing TrentFPS in their main roster once again ahead of the deadline.

Trent is best known for playing the initiator main, picking up Sova, and wreaking havoc in the opponent team composition. There are very few Sova players like him with the exception of AverageJonas, although he has been known to be flexible. He can pick up a Fade and KAY/O and deal equal damage to the enemies, making him one of the most formidable initiators to come across in tournaments in general. It will be interesting to find out how Trent turns out in VCT 2023.
