The newly sketched Valorant VCT promises even higher stakes, as the culminating stronger teams will feature the best games in the world competing for one trophy. Challengers, which is currently the entry point for VCT in 2022, will continue to be the entry point for global events for organized teams going forward.

Moreover, a new tier of competition is called Challengers Ascension. There are three Ascension leagues: EMEA, Americas, and Pacific. The circuit will span Asia, Europe, North America, and South America, and give Valorant Game Changers, an initiative for the best women players in the game its very own global event.

The new tournament circuit will see Riot work with the “best” third-party operators to create a lineup of new events that will allow for both existing and new players to showcase their talents between VCT seasons when there are no events going on.

Challengers leagues will begin with an open qualifier like it has before and will ladder the best teams into two splits of multi-week regular season play.  The developer is currently in talks with organizations from around the world to fill the 30 partner slots in its three international leagues. The organizations that are accepted into the partnership program will receive an annual stipend of at least $600,000.
